Rosedale Energy Hub & Data Centre
CLARA Energy is developing Rosedale Energy Hub & Data Centre with a vision to support Australia’s growing AI and digital economy through integrated regional infrastructure. The proposed precinct brings data centre capacity and its supporting energy systems together on one site, with water, connectivity and environmental considerations incorporated into the development approach.
Situated near the Hume Highway in the Cootamundra–Gundagai region, the project is intended to create a platform for long-term regional investment and digital infrastructure growth.

Solar generation capacity (behind the meter)
All capacities are indicative and subject to approvals, detailed design and delivery arrangements. The 250 MW campus figure represents power capacity, not IT load.
Integrated energy and digital infrastructure
The proposed energy system combines large-scale solar, gas-fired generation and battery storage (BESS) to support reliable campus power. Co-locating generation and demand is intended to reduce reliance on grid connection infrastructure and support the substantial energy needs of modern data centres.
Water and connectivity
The concept includes dedicated river-sourced water and on-site storage, designed to avoid reliance on municipal drinking water. Nearby trunk fibre routes offer the potential for diverse connectivity to support data-intensive operations.
Regional development and landscape
The development approach seeks to retain agricultural activity alongside solar generation, avoid sensitive bushland and work with the site’s natural topography. The vision is to bring digital infrastructure investment to regional Australia while considering local land use, environmental values and community needs.

Rosedale Energy Hub & Data Centre is CLARA Energy’s flagship project within a broader vision for regional energy and data centre precincts across south-eastern Australia, with additional projects planned for VIC, ACT and NSW.
